Thank you for welcoming me into the family when I married your cousin. A warm hug from you was always the way you greeted me. You were a special man.

Farewell to a competitor at heart:
You competed in cross country skiing and speed walking. Whatever you did, you tried to do it better. You were a great father who raised a fine family with your very special wife, Eva. Eva, your entire family and I will miss you.

We will remember his warm welcomes, smiles and laughter. He told great stories and enjoyed listening to our stories.
