Mom was funny, feisty and formidable until the last, and the family hopes that her friends will remember her just that way.
She wanted no funeral service, and her ashes, along with those of my father, will be scattered over the Great North Woods of Maine.
Dear Libby and Tom,
Your Mother was a true gem, and very kind friend to us. She spoke of you both often in a very loving way. After moving we still kept in touch. She invited us to one her delicious lunches a few years ago. What exceptional, wonderful parents never to be forgotten by us. Our deepest condolences. Love, Janice and Dave 2/27/2020
Libby and Tom,
I met your mom in an Italian class @ 1982?; she was a bit my senior. We have corresponded since annually and met up in Rome once. She was delightful, youthful, smart, witty and a favorite friend. I shall miss her and I can only imagine your great loss. Sending many hugs.

Lizvieta, I loved knowing Norma. Fond memories of Thanksgiving dinner in Cambridge, when I was introduced to Potatoes Patchkovska, and I got the recipe from her too! She was always interested in everyone and everything, gracious, funny, and lots of fun to speak with. I cherish the mahogany dining room furniture which I bought from Norma when they left the Melrose house. Chas
