Thank you so much for sharing Nick's story. It took strength and courage and compassion for others to open up your heart so honestly. May all who read about Nick realize that addiction is an illness. I was not one of Nick's teachers, but I hope and pray that teachers everywhere will be aware of the stress and complexities that all students are facing. Again, my heart and prayers to all!
My heart aches for your entire family and friends
I’ve lost many relatives to this disease and I know your pain so well
The question that always was asked is “how do you get someone to stop”???
Praying for love and strength to get thru this !! You I’ve shared with many living with this, I hope it helps
Your obituary for your son Nicholas touched my heart. Having lost a daughter to suicide, a brother to alcoholism and another brother currently battling addiction I so understand. I am so sorry for your loss. Nothing is worse than losing a child, your baby. I lost my daughter in 2012 and thank God I’m recovering, but my life will never be the same.
Cont: Focus on love and great memories. Cry and wail when it becomes too much it helps !
Know he loved you all??
This disease is horrible ...
