My sweet Naomi. I will always remember her love of life, her love and pride in her family, her strong faith and love of knowledge. Her visits back east were always met with much anticipation. I loved her energy, her stories, her wonderful laugh (I still can hear it), and yes her honestly. I loved every moment spent with her. I will miss her.
The Chandlers were our next door neighbors for more than 50 years. She was my mother’s best friend and ‘my other mother.’ After my father passed away, Naomi took my mother grocery shopping every week as well as to church every Sunday. Every Christmas, my family went next door to Naomi’s cookies and fudge. Naomi had a profound influence on my life, and I will never forget her.
