Myrtle was one of the most delightful, and kind women we have ever known. Part of the delightfulness of her was her sense of humor which was always driven by her Christian love of God and all of his creation. She wss the epitome of the joy that is found in one who walks in the footsteps of Jesus. She is one of the people that I think about when deciding how to react to difficult situations

My mother and Mrs. Poier were teacher friends in Fremont, Ca over many years.  her daughter Anne was one of my very best friends throughout high school.  Mrs. Poier always had fresh baked goods ready for us to eat when we came to her house.  I last talked to her a couple of years ago and she was welcoming as ever.  I miss Anne and would give anything to be in contact with her again.
