I was married to Monique's daughter, Linda Aknin until Linda passed in 1984. I can tell you that Monique and the entire Aknin family were the best example of a family who loved one another that till this day I have never seen better. My own family was dysfunctional so I never knew what family love was until I met Linda and her family. Monique was the strength and the source of that love.

Monique was a classic matriarch, a great woman, special, one of a kind and so was her daughter, my wife Linda.
