Candle lit  by Allen Lindsey on February 18th, 2018

Sunday was our normal visiting day, this being my first Sunday without her. I wanted to share some of my memories of her.
How we would watch Columbo together when she would babysit me when I was young, her coming over our house for dinner and on special occasions she would bring her famous macaroni and cheese. How my dad would pick on his little sister all along knowing how much he loved her, and her response would always be Brother stop. The sweatshirts that would light up she wore on Christmas. How she hated thunder storms especially if the weather man would say it may severe and call my dad to come and stay the night, the word severe will always remind me of her. How much she loved and missed the little house on Wright ave. she was born and lived in, and the people she grew up with.
What I will miss the most is the love and sense of family she gave me, and how when I would tell her good bye and say I love you she would smile and say I love you twice as much.
A lot of people have told me how lucky she was to have me to look after her these last few years. I know I wasn’t the only one to love and care for her, but as for my part it was my honor to do so.
      I love you Aunt Mildred
