One of the best math teachers that I ever had! Mr. Erickson picked me once in his little yellow car. He happened to be going by when he saw that I had just missed my bus. He pulled over and picked me up and drove me to school.  I adored him.

Mike was my math teacher his first year of teaching at Mission Hill in 1964-65. I absolutely loved him. We all did! I even got a B the first semester!  He made it fun, especially with his cartoons. Our friendship lasted throughout the years. I’m so glad that he called in recent times and we had a chance to reconnect over the phone. I’m just sorry I never had the chance to say goodbye. :(

Mike was the most best and most influential teachers that I had at Mission Hill.  I loved his classes. His math classes and encouragement steered me to the Math Academy at SCHS and then to major in mathematics in college. I have thought about him often and still remember the drawing Mike did for my name, “sewing the letter G”.

I remember receiving a "B" in my Statistics class, and the first person I thought of was Mr. Erickson. I did poorly in math during my Mission Hill years, but he just look at me, smiled, and told me not to worry about it, I'll get it one day, and I finally did. Many teachers would loose faith in students like me, but he was one of those gems that lays in your memory like a smile on a sunny

Mike attended our church on and off over the past years. When I first came to the church, I taught through the book of Nehemiah. While I taught through that book, Mike was making drawings. He gave me a drawing of the wall of Jerusalem that was beautiful. Mike will be missed.

Mike was a most amazing man. I used to sit in his class at Mission Hill to observe him and learn how to be a math teacher. Because of him, I was successful teaching math. He was incredibly smart and talented and OH SO FUNNY!! Precious memories of teaching at Mission Hill include our lunches...Mike, Don Sowden, Rayna Gibson (Then), Angelo Ross,  at the pond. I loved Mike. He was a great man

The driver of "The Thing" and a very motivating math teacher.  He often challenged me to do the work of the "high" class when I finished my work. He was also a "very cool" teacher.  We had a book drop right before lunch and he asked "Who did not participate?  A few raised their hands and he kept them until the bell for not participating in class activities. The rest of us got to leave!

Mike was my math teacher at Mission Hill Jr.High. He was enjoyable and a real nice guy. I am glad he came to the Lord before he passed. And his life took on a new meaning. God's blessings on his memory. To all that knew him and appreciated him.  Wonderful teachers at MHJH & SCHS.
