On behalf of the residents and staff at Independence House, I would like to offer deepest condolences.  Michael has been our friend and part of our little family for the last five years, and we will miss him tremendously.  His laughter, jokes, and witty comments will be missed!!

On behalf of our agency, I express the condolences of the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) to Michael's family and friends. Mike was a founding member of The Mill House clubhouse and he also resided at Independence House, two of DARS' state-funded contracted programs in Richmond. Mike was a unique and lively person, remembered by many with a smile...and tears.

On behalf of the members of The Mill House and staff at Community Brain Injury Services, I would like to offer our sympathies to Michael's friends and family.   Michael was a truly unique and beloved member of our Mill House community.   Michael, or "Southy" as we all called him had such a wonderful sense of humor, a huge smile, and was just a great person.   He will be greatly missed.
