My blessing and condolences goes out to his wife Eileen and to there two sons. I only met him but a few times but he was a great man a family man who made everyone around him happy. You will be missed by all family and friends God bless RIP Michael .
We only met Michael a few times when we visited Richmond. He always made us feel welcome. He seemed to enjoy everything he did and everyone he was with. May his memory bring a smile to all who think of him.
If I were to describe Uncle Mike, I would say he was truly the calm in the storm & the voice of reason! During his few trips to ND, there was normally at least one “heated” family discussion during our family gatherings. But Uncle Mike always remained so calm & collected.....he didn’t engage in those moments very often, but if he did, he was calm, rational & often ended up making someone laugh ....... or he would make someone even more angry......it was a dangerous gamble really!! This would also qualify him as a brave man!! LOL Then, he would just calmly walk away, appearing to be unaffected by whatever “storm”
was happening around him!! During his last visit, I found myself admiring him for this. But he never knew how much of an impact he had on me that last day he would ever spend in ND. Rest peacefully Uncle Mike & thank you for the lesson you never knew you taught me. Until we meet again......
Love Megan
We are all Family. As a Rebel Football mom, we watched our sons grow up on the football field for the last 4 years. It was always fun to hang out at Melito's after the home games with Eileen, Mike and all the Freeman football parents. I will never forget the laughs or the fun. We love you Eileen and Chase and Aidan and if you need anything we will always be here for you.
