Growing up, my summers were looked forward to most of all because of our magical week at "Mike and Martha's" house. It was our place to escapee our normal lives and learn, explore and be loved. Mike was funny, honest, and gentle. in my adult life I had the fortune of staying with him during business trips. I will miss him and never forget forget! As always.....your "professor" and friend
To the family and friends. Please accept my deepest condolences. Loss of a loved one causes the heart to feel heavy and hollow at the same time. Please find some comfort in God's words: “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more.”—Revelation 21:4. The following comforting message has helped many experiencing loss of a loved one: https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&pub=we&srcid=share
I have a lot of great memories at Uncle Mike's house - especially their annual Labor Day party. He always had a smile for me. As he aged, I saw a softer side that didn't dim his humor. How his family took care of him in his last years was a tribute to the man he was. He will be MISSED!!
I only know Mike through Mary Lu. I loved watching your relationship. You were best buddies… Always working on some project together! I'm so happy for you - that you got to have such a great dad!
Uncle Mike could always make me laugh, with his quick witty humor. As a kid I was painfully shy so sometimes when I felt overwhelmed by people at family gatherings he'd put me at ease by pretending to curtsy and gently smile- I was endlessly charmed by this quiet approach to make me feel safe. I will miss those soulful heavy lidded eyes...
