May you live forever, through the memories of others
Sending prayers of comfort and peace during this time. A wonderful man!
Still looking for you...Always
The Contessa family will always have a special place in my heart. Your Dad was very generous to me and responsible for launching my career. His big heart has afforded him a very special place in heaven. He will be missed.
Happy 95th birthday. Your presence is missed today & every day.
Happy Father’s Day, 2020, the first of the rest without you.
Thinking of you & the stories you shared so graciously, your paternal wisdom & the too few, but most memorable times, I was able to be enveloped in your warmth & laughter.
Years that pass thru Eternity's door
Dreams just beyond my grasp
Tears that leave me with still so much to ask
And the gentleness of your love that will last
Happy Father's Day, Big Daddy 2020
Always thinking of you Grandpa Love you so so much you’ll always be missed and never forgotten for being the smartest nicest and most thoughtful person.
You’re gone nearly 7 months today, but I still hear your wisdom
“I can hear your voice in the wind.”
Make that 8 months. It’s all a bit of a blur.
Can you hear me when I sing? You're the reason why the opera's in me.
9 months ago today marks your passing. Thanksgiving wasn’t the same without your presence. No grand gathering, but there was a COVID friendly dinner at your table.
Your memory continues to bind those who truly love you.
I’ve watched Donna, John & Lindsey find the strength to persevere, as they settle your worldly affairs.
I’m sure you’re immensely proud of how they try to honor you.
Your light continues to shine.
How should we measure this past year??
In days?
In adversity?
In sorrow?
It is said that time heals, but it appears not enough has elapsed. Until then... continue on & be seeking the joy he would wish for us all.
2 years. The struggles continue. The peace ?? is elusive. And hearts still ache.
Your loss is an obstacle that will long be felt.
Three years.
Hard to believe. The pandemic came just after you left us. In many ways, it makes it seem longer… And then, in others, it’s been merely a few moments.
Miss you Big Daddy.... I know life hasn't ended, but it's a whirlwind of change.... hard to find something to hold onto
Another birthday passes. You’d be 98 this year.
Your’s was called The Greatest Generation for a reason.
Thanks to you and to my Dad, as well.
To: The Class of 1925
Another year has come and gone. Certainly isn’t the same as the greatest generation leave us. Honest & honorable memories are what make a true legacy.
What a marvelous tribute to you, even 4 years later.
Gabe graduates high school.
Donna leaves a 40 year career.
And you, have left a legacy.
Two generations to which you can find true pride.
"Heroes get remembered. Legends live forever."
Mike Contessa, you sir, ARE legendary.
