I offer my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one.  At Revelations 21:4 our Heavenly Father promises that one day we will not lose our loved ones in death, but what of those dear loved ones we have already lost?  John 5:28 comforts us with the message of a resurrection of those who have already died!  I hope these scriptures bring you a measure of comfort.
