We had “assigned seats” in the pink room at Wilmington High School when I taught with Mary. She was front and center,  We had a nice morning routine . Mary was the voice of reason and the advisor for all the younger teachers. She was a delight. She offered sound advice when asked. She was looked up to by all of us: me, Carol, Martha, JoAnn, Ginny, Donna and Jeanne. She was our rock.
