I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Ms. Lawrence.  I remember her as being very active in the community and can't recall her ever having an idle moment.  Her intellect was striking yet she was humble.  I  would occasionally see her tutoring her students in Capitola Village in Algebra and Geometry.  Her cream cheese brownies were second to none.
