To Mary’s Family-

I was saddened to read of Mary’s passing.

I, along with my many classmates were fortunate enough to have had Mary as a teacher. She was passionate about her algebraic equations and wanted us to be just as passionate.

She was not easily distracted from teaching. With the exception of the year she got engaged and was planning her wedding. In high school hopes of maybe a little less homework, we would get her off topic by asking about the proposal, then how the wedding plans were coming, and, oh tell us about your bridal shower.

Such fond memories of an excellent teacher and individual from a student who will never forget her.
