Today on Easter Sunday will be the first recent holiday without Grandma Nurmi, and she will be sorely missed by all. As much as she missed her home in Newport Beach, I am glad she lived her last few years near her family, where I got to spend more time with her. She will live on in my heart and memories.
We missed you on Easter too, Grams. I'll miss how excited you always were when I came to visit you. I'm happy that you were able to meet Baby Eleanor. XOXOXO
I last saw Grandma Nurmi at Julie's baby shower and she was so excited to welcome another grandchild into the world. We had a great time eating cake and talking about the joys of motherhood. I will always remember her as the vivacious matriarch that she was. Rest in peace Grandma Nurms. Xo
I am adjusting to the loss of my mother. A mother is so woven into out lives and so influentual to who we are. I am grateful to have been able to have spent the last few years so close to my mom and been able to help her deal with the hardships of aging. She was spunky and spirited and loved to go out and "have fun". She loved her family.
