"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday."
"Wherever I go whatever I do, memories keep me near to you."
"My memories of you will linger on long after your footprints in the sand are gone."
In memory of the best dad a girl has ever had.

Marty was a man with a heart of gold who's love was infinite and kindness and generosity as deep as the sea.

Marty will always have a special place in my heart. He was one of my first friends when I moved to CA in 1983. Having no family or friends in the area he welcomed me to his. His door was always open and I can't recall a disparaging word ever exiting his mouth. He is a tremendous loss to our community and I'm sure a valuable addition to heaven.

Happy 61st Birthday daddy. I miss you and think about you everyday. Your grandson Marky is almost 1! His birthday is a month after yours, July 26th. He has your smile, ears, and humorous, mischevious and playful personality. I see a lot of you in him. He loves music and dancing too. I tell him about you everyday. I'm sorry he couldn't meet you but he will know the amazing man you were.

3 years ago today my world changed forever. I lost the best dad in the universe and it doesn't get any easier. I'm so lucky to have had such amazing memories with you daddy. I wish you were here to meet your grandson and see how Bella has grown. But I know you're with us in our hearts. Sometimes I feel your presence and feel immediate warmth and comfort. You were trully an extraordinary man with a huge heart of gold, a larger then life sense of humor, and had a joyous, positive outlook on life. You lived your life to the fullest and fear was never in your vocabulary. I love you daddy, today, yesterday, and forever more.

RIP Martin Leon Holsten 6.28.57- 3.5.16.
