I have very fond memories of Mrs. Zappe. I remember the poignant stories she shared about her childhood in Germany during the war. I liked her practical nature and was impressed with how well read she was and that she spoke English, French, and German. She was a talented artist, seamstress, and she crocheted beautifully. I feel very fortunate to have some of her artwork hanging in my house
