I grew up two doors down from Marshall and his family and have such fond memories of growing up with Marshall in my life. He was a sweet, super-friendly, caring person who took so much pride in everything he did. I feel honored to have known him and was very sad to learn today of his passing. Sending so much love to Marshall's family and his many, many friends. Rest well, dear Marsh. <3

I was lucky to live 1 block from Mac Marsh, who was my “big bro” at TO where we spent hrs playing strikeout, whiffleball in the grove and hoop on the short courts. Marsh taught me important stuff like elite trash talking - even after airballs - always in his Magic Lakers  jersey :). After TO we would visit the Candy Lady before saying goodnight, juiced to do it all again the next day.

From long days of cross-country skiing in the Sierras to endless afternoons of pickup basketball in Berkeley, Marsh always inspired everyone around him to have fun.  We had a lot of good times and those many memories remain with me.  A final high five to you.  You got next!

We have known Marshall and his family for 50 years, so we could watch Marsh grow into a fine young man. He came to our house to celebrate his 30th birthday. We interacted every week at the North Branch Library where he was an avid computer user. His warm friendship will be missed by all who knew him.

I remember Marshall as a great kid, irrepressibly upbeat & happy-go-lucky, always having fun inside or outside, on the lake, in the snow, on his bike, on the basketball court. My heart goes out to Marshall's whole family at this difficult time. Celebrate Marshall's memory in earnest, he deserves it!

My family shared happy days in the snow and camping with Marshall since 1974.  He has always been a cheerful, helpful presence.  I will miss seeing his smile when I walk in the neighborhood.  He will be missed by many.  Warm sympathies to his whole family.

I remember Marshall in many different ways.  On a trip to the Wind River Range in Wyoming with his family to celebrate his birthday amidst a Labor Day snow storm;  As the captain of our cabin vollyball team when we won the championship at Serene Lakes Days.  He will be missed but he will always be in our memories.

Marshall had an irrepressible spirit. He found joy in everything and everyone. I remember when he turned 10. We were camping at the Wind River Range, and he was so excited to have a 2-number age. He celebrated that birthday with gusto, as he did everything else. His joy in life was contagious and will live in our memories always. Marshall, we miss you.

I first got to know Marshall on climbing trips in the Sierra Nevada mountains with his family in the early 1970s.  My wife Debbie and and I watched Marshall grow into a strong, determined young man with many interests and friends.  Marshall was particularly loving to our young daughters. Our memories of Marshall's big, welcoming smile will always be with us.

Marshall Menocal
Was one of my childhood friends. Along with his mother and father and my mother and the rest of us kids. We spent alot of great weekends together.  Especially in Yosemite. I cherish the memories.  Rest in paradise Marshall. Much love my friend.
