Marlene was my foster mother but the best mother I could have ever asked for. She made me the person I am today and it broke my heart to leave her when social services found me a home; a home that never offered me the same love and affection Marlene and her parents gave me. To this day she holds a big part of my heart and I’ll miss and love her always.
