I am truly sorry to hear about Mark's passing.  Mark was my best friend in the 2nd and 3rd grade.  We were practically inseparable.  I have the fondest memories of playing in the prune orchard and catching anything that moved in the creek that went through the property.  We spent hours and hours together and I really cherish the fun times we shared in those early days of my childhood.
