I'm so sorry to hear about Camie's passing. I have the fondest memories of rowing the same boat together at Nobles. She was the kindest and most supportive teammate one could have asked for (and rowed hard too!). Not surprising to me that she put that empathy to great use with various causes in her adult life. Sending love to her family.

I was disheartened yesterday when I read that Camie had died. Shocked, I remember her so well when she was a student at Nobles. As Dana referred to Cam as the 'kindest and most supportive teammate," I nodded my head. Those words embody everything that Cam was in my eyes. Her smile said it all for me, welcoming  warm and inviting. As her former teacher, I send my deepest condolences.

Terrible loss. We met at an ALC reunion when we were 10. We were then supposed to be tent mates that summer but Camie got sick and had to come second session. The following summer we were together and for many summers after. After college, we were roommates in Boston. Soon I moved South and we were not in touch as much. Facebook kept me updated on her journey. Sending Texas-sized hugs!
