Marilyn was a friend of my wife, Phyllis Jampol, from back in their New York City days, in the 1960's. Even after  Marilyn moved out West and Phyllis to upstate NY, then to Martha's Vineyard, Marilyn called every year on Phyllis' birthday. My Phyllis died of Alzheimer's Disease on May 3 of this year. Her dear friend, on May 30.

So sorry to read about the passing of Marilyn. I was just asked who was my most influential teacher and when asked that I always think of Mrs Cahn. She taught me so much and instilled so much confidence in me. I can’t believe I just googled her for the first time and she just passed away in May. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to tell her what an influence she had on my life
