I well remember my classmate George’s mom, ever patient with us scruffy kids. I recall that each day, after Shady Hill School stopped serving hot lunches, George would open a packed meal from home that contained a slip of paper, upon which had been neatly written, I believe, a quote of the day. To me that showed great thoughtfulness and love, not to mention organization.
