I was stunned and devastated to learn of Marc's death.  I cannot imagine the anguish you have suffered these last weeks.  Marc had a beautiful, old soul.  He was brilliant, funny, empathetic, and kind.  Even in our youth, his stoicism belied a deepness and warmth - and playfulness that made it a joy to be in his presence.  I will hold you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our hearts sunk when Tracy and I heard the news. Even though I have not seen Mark in many years he left a large impression in my life. He was smart, thoughtful, selfless, fun and kind. A leader on and off the field. My condolences to his family and loved ones. He was truly a one of a kind, will miss you #44.

Just learning of this and my deepest condolences to everyone he left behind. I was lucky enough to spend time with Marc in DC, Spain and California and always found him to be the most gentle, curious and thoughtful soul. My heart breaks that we lost him so young. I’ll always carry him with me.
