Marc lived in many worlds and made them all a better place. He was a rancher, gardener, lover of nature, lover of thought, a poet, and a gentle soul. I am by far a better person by having Marc in my life as is the rest of the world. I will miss him dearly, especially his wonderful laugh when he would discover another of life's wonders. Marc came into my life when I was only 12 years old, and has been my stepdad for 32 years.  I am grateful beyond words for the joy he brought our family as well as my sweet mama.  Poppy, your daughters love and miss you every day.  I planted flowers for you and every time I look at them I will think of you, and I will always carry you with me.

Bacon....bacon...bacon!! Oh how Marc loved bacon. A joke between us all these years was sending bacon recipes and jokes, and Marc respoding with his typical quick and funny retort. He generously shared his passion and extensive knowlege of nature, animals, and American Indian history and folklore. We will miss his friendship, laughter and gentle spirit. Ray and Gay Howard

“When I think of Marc, I see his eyes twinkle as he watches me reach a conclusion he was driving at ... totally, the teacher in him was always on! Many “ah-hah” moments with that gentle soul!  Most importantly, I loved how he loved my sister.  Rest In Peace, sweet man, till we meet again!”- Toni Henderson

I've known "Uncle Bud" for many years.  Walking in the desert in Harney county; sharing family; gathering his sage advice; enjoying his happiness with Sharon; accepting my new life.  These are just a few of the positive attributes I connect with Uncle Bud.  Thank you for being part of my life.  Safe travels, my friend. I've been putting this off since it is confirmation my favorite uncle is gone.  He'd laugh, I'm sure, and ask me if I had any other uncles.  I don't anymore.  But, he was always my favorite.  He had a wonderful, powerful influence on me in so many ways, always kind to brother Bob and myself.  Even when we were just kids, he always talked to us, not at us.  I miss him in my life.
