I knew Madelyn from the Newcomer Club of Santa Cruz County.  For a program at one of the monthly luncheons, about six of we members modeled some vintage hats of hers that she had inherited from her mother.  Madelyn was a very intelligent, elegant and classy woman with a beautiful flare.  My sincere condolences go out to her family.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I was Madelyn's hairstylist in Aptos Ca.  We shared many wonderful conversations. From crazy shows to watch on Netflix, growing up in SanFransisco,  and her incredible love of her family.  She loved to talk with her hands. Her beautiful long arms and fingers would get her in trouble with my work. Quite often I had to ask her to sit on her hands. I will always remember her wonderful giggle.

I first met Madelyn on a trip to China and we liked each other immediately. She was what I call a "fierce" woman--my highest praise. She was enthusiastic, highly intelligent, appreciative of life and her family, and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss her and our 1 hour "catch-up" phone conversations.
