Mrs. Moughorn Wiley, you will never be forgotten by your students at Hancock Central High School. A blessing to all of us! You said what you meant, and taught what you said without fail. A true Soldier for education!
Mrs. L.M.Wiley, My High School English Teacher was sharp and simply had a way with words. She was one of my favorite teachers at Hancock Central High School. May she Rest in Paradise.
Mrs. Wiley was my high school English teacher and one of my favorite teachers of all time! As a part of the Hancock Central Class of 1975 she not only taught us English, Literature, etc., but so many other things that pertained to living a good life. She was a special person that touched many. God's blessings to her family.
Mrs Wiley was the teacher that had the most impact on my life. I can still hear her saying “Rome is Burnin” when we were off task. My favorite poem is one she recited most often: “True friends are like diamonds precious and rare. False friends are like autumn leaves found everywhere. May she Rest In Peace.
It was the words of Mrs. Wiley, that inspired me to be an asset instead of a liability! I became more than a student when she called me her friend over the many years of conversation!
I’m saddened by her passing;however, I know she is in a better place! Rest In Peace my friend.
Ms. Moughorn the Hancock Central High School has lost a true treasure in you. You were an exceptional teacher that truly made learning engaging and worthwhile. It is my sincerest prayer that you are resting forever in the arms of Christ Jesus. Thank you for being so awesome at sparking the fire in the Class of 1992!!!
It was fitting that she taught us in a classroom with a stage in it. But no stage could hold all of her personality. She was quick to encourage and build you up, but also able to quickly put you in "check" if you stepped out of line. Her words made us better students and better people. Good night, Ms. Moughorn, and "flights of angels sing thee to thy rest." HCHS Class of 1992
I am grateful to have been a part of Mrs. Wiley's classes during my tenure at HCHS Class of 72; she was a major influence on my educational development as a direct result of her teaching style and motivation she provided. My skills related to public speaking, self confident, interpretative reading and grammatically correct writing were refined under her teaching. Excellence at its best!
Mrs. Wiley, an extraordinary educator, an outstanding woman and an exceptional colleague, “Parting is such sweet sorrow."
May you rest in eternity. Thank you for my first teaching job. Thank you for sharing classroom management tips and best practices for teaching high school students, HCHS. Thank you for being so understanding, generous and kind to me and Gavin, especially when you hit cash 3. My heart is heavy, my friend. I love you; I will miss you, dearly.
Sincerely,
Barbara Franklin
