My Mom was a strong, independent woman who encouraged her children, especially her daughters, to get an education that she herself was unable to get. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker, gardener and assistant to my Dad's trucking company. She lived and died in her own way and will be remembered for her care and assistance any time her family needed her.

I just recently discovered that Lorraine had died.  I used to prepare income taxes for Lorraine before she no longer needed to file.  I looked forward to seeing her every year.  Her sassy personality was a delight as was the tin of cookies she brought with her.  I know she will be missed by all that knew her.
