She was one of America's best minds. She was a Master Mind and could never be duplicated. Linda made such a difference in so many lives through her gifting in literature, writing and research. She is an inspiration to me to settle for nothing short of excellence. But, more than that she was my friend. Thank you for cheering me on, Linda.

I was privileged to know Linda as an intelligent articulate educator who loved the Lord. We enjoyed many long conversations spanning a variety of subjects, both personal and general. We at Every Word Ministries will miss her. She worshipped and fellowshipped with us and contributed in service. May the peace of God rest with you as Linda rests awaiting the call of the Life-giver.

Linda and I many times went to plays and cultural events together.    She was great company and good listener and we talked and talked about any and everything.
I had not talked to her for several years, but always tried to keep up with how she was doing thru family.
Linda, indeed,  will not be forgotten, and we are all better that we were in her company.   Love you all.  Pat

I have fond memories of Linda during my time spent at Mills College. I remember my Dear friend Gloria Stingily and I decided we were going to go out auditioning and Linda created our first theater resumes for us.  On another occasion Linda gave us tickets to the  San Francisco ballet and they were amazing seats. She was definitely a big part of my experience at Mills College.

Linda was a beautiful person with a mesmerizing voice. She was one of my first clients that I created a poster for. It was a Shakespeare play. Then years latter I ran into her at the community garden. She told stories of her childhood and the garden and how she wanted create a little pumpkin patch for all the kids to learn about the garden. She was always thinking about her students.

Candle lit  by Tierra White   on March 4th, 2019

My name is Tierra White, and I couldn’t let this day continue without saying how impactful my cousin was to me. She was not only My cousin, but My teacher and she made a tremendous influence my life. I was blessed to have her as my teacher because you’re only granted a few teachers in your life that you will always cherish and she was one of them. Not because she was my cousin, but because of the wonderful memories we shared when I was a child. Some memories consisted of the girl twins that swallowed a penny, or the meals we had at the Christian center! On Fridays, I would always forget my money for the special lunch and she was always there to buy them for me when needed. Oh, and I loved the game telephone we use to play on the carpet and seeing her wear those penny loafers, where she placed a penny in the center of them, OMG, I thought that was the most fascinating thing as a child. Our Class year must have influenced her life as well because she prepared a class reunion for us. I realized then that she was watching all of our journeys from afar and I’ll treasure that dinner for the rest of my life. The last time I saw her was in Walmart last year and I remember her in high spirits and she let me know how proud she was of me. I wish I would have told her much I admired her love and support all these years. Her beautiful and graceful presence will be missed

I have been thinking of you so much lately, it’s been a few years since we last spoke. Your voice always brought me so much comfort. Ms. Stingley, you were an Angel on earth. An innovator. Exquisite. Love. Peace. You encompassed all that was strength. I love you and will forever remember you and all that you taught me.
