Len was a special, gentle, kind, loving and funny man.  My family met the Gersteins in 1985 and they became our family.
My favorite memories of Len are talking to him about bird watching, having him tell my mother that my knuckle cracking won't cause arthritis, and of course that constant smile he had, and his laugh.  We will miss him dearly.

Dr. Gerstein and his lovely family were a dear part of my childhood. I remember him being caring, knowledgeable, and infinitely patient. I'm glad he had such a good life, and will always have a special place for him in my heart.
