Sorry for your loss. Though I didn't know Lawrence I've lost loved ones in death and know the pain. These scriptures I've found comforting, Romans 5:12 tells us why we die. Revelation 21:3,4 says God will end suffering and death. Acts 24:15 tells of a coming resurrection and Psalms 37:9-11,29 says where they will live and for how long.
