I had the honor of coaching Kirk with Mike Haynes, while Kirk was in high school, and I remember him as joyous, fiercely competetive, and kind. On the field, Kirk was all business, and he was an amazing athlete to watch! Off the field, he had a great sense of humor, and he treated folks with respect. I'm glad I knew Kirk, and I'm so sad to hear that he's gone. My prayers are with him.
