Mr. Holmes was my 6th grade teacher at Carson Elementary school in San Jose. I was so lucky to have him as my teacher. Mr. Holmes taught me that men can be calm,  caring, compassionate, inspiring, safe, imaginative and empower students and people. We each had a refrigerator box around our desk and created a community in our classroom. I was able to be inventive, accepted and loved.
