When I worked at NASA Ames, 12 years ago, Ken was one of my best bosses while working on Shuttle, and ISS life science experiments.  He was fair, stayed out of 'politics', and was a good mentor to new people. I was so saddened to hear of his sudden death.  My thoughts are with his family, and his NASA family as they mourn his death.
