Kelsey and Ruth were outstanding role models to generations of people who knew them. Kelsey was a great example of humility, service, faithfulness, hard work ethic, planning ahead, frugality and joy in the simple things of life. He demonstrated his love and faith in the Lord through service, especially at Valley Church. His life was a light on a hill for the rest of us!

The strongest image of Kelsey in my mind is a month or so after he started using a walker.  I spotted him in the corner of the parking lot near building 2 sitting on his walker while working on the concrete over there.  I'm not sure Kelsey ever really understood the word "retired."
