I was so saddened to read of Kaye's passing. I was her student my sophomore year at Medford Mid-High. She will always be remembered for talking with our class about the meaning of the student shootings at Kent State in 1970. I met up with Kaye at the Ashland Y where we both swam. She was always interested in what I was doing (especially what I was reading), and enthusiastic about life
Page 2, I saw her everywhere she could walk or ride the bus. The last time I saw her was at Skylark this summer. She was in the lobby reading. We had a warm conversation and she made sure I had a book going. Your mom was one of those rare teachers who made a difference. I was lucky to be her student and honored to be her friend as an adult. She is missed and loved.
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother Mary, I wish the best for you in your time of loss. She sounds like a wonderful person and I am glad that she has touched so many lives.
