Katy attended Linden Elementary (Linden CA), Lincoln HS (Stockton), Mills College (Oakland) and Stanford. Resided in San Jose for 25 years and Ferndale, WA for 13.

Katy was descended from Oliver Wolcott, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and Henry Wolcott, a soldier who served in the Revolutionary War. Predeceased by mother Jean McNair, grandmother Mildred Walcott, grandfather Glenn Walcott and brother Michael McNair, all of Stockton.

Katy is survived by her husband Chuck of Ferndale, WA; daughter Amy of San Mateo CA; son Jeffrey (Jillian) of Sunnyvale CA; and grandson Braden of Sunnyvale.
