This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Katherine B. McHone. We will remember her forever. She and her husband devoted much of their lives to the Submarine Veterans of WWII. Aunt Katherine is special in my memories. Their visits were highlights in our growing up years. My mother Virgie and I always looked forward to her letters in the Christmas cards. I also remember the Christmas gifts they sent us. Johnny, Katy Lee, Patty and Michael - your mother and father were very special - and you are in our thoughts.
My Aunt Katherine was one of the most intelligent women I have ever known. And, she navigated through a world for most of her 99 years that did not encourage this in women. Kudos to her extremely intelligent and accomplished children for this wonderful memorial site for her.
