I send warm, deep feelings of compassion to all who are feeling this great loss.  I am so grateful to have had times with Karen.  I remember a wonderful hike in Union Creek.  Karen brought so many gifts... of music, friendship and joys to so many.  With Love, Gail Summerville

Karen was a wonderful person and an excellent bassoonist. We played together at a few workshops. Although I haven't seen her for years, I fondly remember the good times that we had. My condolences to her family.

I am so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. We worked together as fellows at USC and Karen was a wonderful physician. She had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed writing a funny song with her to celebrate fellowship graduation. I also enjoyed hearing her play bassoon for the song!
