Karen was an amazing person and always happy even though she most often didn't feel well.  I will miss her spunk and fun personality.  She loved loved loved her kids and sacrificed much for them. I am lucky to have shared so many adventures with her.  Much love to Alex, Madison and Brandon! You are not alone.  Owen and Laura

Karen was a wonderful sister.  It is so difficult to lose her so soon.  I will miss laughing with her and being able to have her only a text message away.  My heart is with Alex, Madison and Brandon.

Karen was a great aunt and always made an effort to connect with everyone she met. This came easy as she was so fun and good-spirited. Karen had a contagious can-do attitude that I will never forget. My thoughts are with Alex, Madison and Brandon through this difficult time. Love you all!

Karen is a fun, loving, talented, artistic, humorous, compassionate soul. Karen made so many beautiful quilts and other heirlooms for me. My favorite being the Swedish table runners for Christmas last year. Karen has immense love for her children and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for them.I have no doubt she will continue to be by your side always. All my love Alex, Madison and Brandon

I have known Karen almost all my life. She was just a year ahead of me in school and we lived within a mile or two of each other so we rode the same school bus. She was always so happy, kind and quite goofy. Always made me laugh. I have many fond memories of her. When I read the news today it just broke my heart.

Karen came into my life after her return from Alaska.  What a blessing to my life at that time and forever. I can't pay enough tribute to this incredible person.  She taught me so much about living life and to take advantage of every moment.  I have thousands of precious memories of her,  serving with her was a dream, being her friend a thrill. We had a couple anti-valentine dates,so fun.

Oh, how I love this precious lady! I'm very grateful for the time that she and her beautiful kids lived here in Robin, Idaho. She brightened any room she walked into, and was a valiant and steadfast example to all around her. Her children are her gems, and I know she is watching over them still. Goodbye for now, dear friend. ??

I first met Karen  at church in Palmer, Alaska.  We became fast friends and had many adventures together.  We served together in the Relief Society and took quilting classes together.  She was an amazing person and a great friend.  She was always upbeat and a little bit crazy.  I am grateful to be called her friend. She will be missed by many.  My love to Alex, Madison and Brandon.

As roommates on Darwin Ave. we shared many shenanigans. Karen was always up for adventures anytime, day or night. We swam at Paradise reservoir often and accidentally broke another roommate’s collar bone in a winter tubing expedition up Sardine Canyon. Rest In Peace and comfort my dear, dear friend.
