Early the morning of November 21, I lost my wonderful baby sister and best friend after her battle with ovarian cancer for over 3 years. She was a brave warrior to the end, but is finally at peace. She will be missed by all who love and know her.
Judi showed us how living life like tomorrow doesn't matter, like clouds are meant to be chased away, and like enjoyment with those around you is the most precious commodity to which one can aspire. My association with Judi was far too short, but my respect and appreciation of her reached the highest levels. It's a rare person who can enable such feelings in so short a time. When adversity struck, she commanded herself to fight it and keep it away from her life ...... because she demanded a life well lived. She knew: the meaning of life is to live it! Judi inspired me - and others - through her actions, not just her words. Plus that dazzling smile of hers could chase the shadows from the darkest recesses of any room. So thank you Judi, you are now, and always will be, fondly and warmly remembered.
It's hard to imagine a world without Judi in it. We'd known each other for nearly 40 years, as friends, coworkers and sometimes co-conspirators. We shared a lot of laughs over the years and a few tears too. She was enthusiastic about everything she did, and she did everything well and with grace. She will live in the memories of the many of us who knew and loved her.
I met Judi at Cancer Support Community. We quickly bonded over our love for healthy food and recipes. We attended many of the cooking classes offered at CSC. Judi and I also loved to meet up for coffee (before COVID) or a walk in either her or my neighborhoods. I will miss Judi but my memories of her will live forever in my heart.
I remember Judi from Job's Daughters and from our time in Spain. She was on my mind this morning and only discovered that she had passed after googling her name. Jackie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you and yours are doing well. Linda Dunlap
Today Judi would have been 74 years old! I miss her daily & have sweet memories to think back on.
