Juanita Quintero

1921 - 2021

In a hundred years you won't even remember all this.
  • 100 years old
  • Date of birth:  June 24th, 1921
  • Date of passing:  December 23rd, 2021
  • Place of passing:  Glendale , Arizona, United States

This memorial website was created in the memory of our mother, Juanita Quintero.  There isn't a memorial adequate enough to cover her accomplishments and the impact she had on so many lives throughout her 100 years. Her acumen as a restauranteur pales in comparison to her loyalty to family. There wasn't anything she set her mind to that she didn't accomplish. She was truly one of the greatest of the "Greatest Generation" and she'll be missed.  Her spirit will live on in her children, grandchildren, etc. and all who were blessed to have crossed paths with her.  She was an iron fist beneath a velvet glove.  That was our mom and she is sorely missed.

Thank you for visiting.

You were a force to be reckoned with, Mom. I learned from you and I'm more resilient because of you. Thank you for the heart, will and toughness you blessed me with.  I only hope I can leave a legacy half as great as what you've left us. You'll definitely be missed. Enjoy the well-deserved rest, Mom.  I love you!

I love you Grandma and I am thankful that you are able to finally rest in the ultimate Peace! You are a unique individual and Heaven now has their heavenly Mexican food back from where it came. I look forward to seeing you again! Not just for the food! I love you!

Like the American Bison, you ‘faced’ the storms in life.  You didn’t turn your back on tough times; thus you endured.  The “Big stick” you carried was your character and those who met you respected you and those who knew you well, loved you.  I love you and hope to be at the great banquet table in Heaven with you as the cook. I’m sure all the saint's will be in for a treat.

I will never forget when you would ask me "When are you gonna come see me mi Hijo." I will miss that every time I come to Arizona. I promise I will come to see you in Heaven bisabuela. I miss you and love you. “No matter how prepared you think you are for the death of a loved one, it still comes as a shock, and it still hurts very deeply” – Billy Graham

Mrs. Quintero,   I feel I knew you personally. I know you though your awesome daughter Linda. What a inspiration you are to me. You are a woman of substance and a true woman of God. Rest in Peace, but first cook up a great Mexican meal for Heaven. Yours very truly, Velma J. Moser    {V. J. Moser]
