My mother was a strange bird. She took a lot of care, a lot of attention.  We all loved her so much, but a lot of times, we just could not make the grade,

And God it was painful when we didn't.

With that said, she was the love of my life. In her later years, she softened, and she and I became the best of friends. I miss my best friend so much. She loved me with all her heart, was hard on me as a child, but she had received so little love herself, that she didn't have the tools. I know that now. I loved her with my entire being.

Dear Mom,  it’s been such a long time since I’ve read to you. I miss you every day.  I hope you are well and happy more than you’ve ever been. I love you and you are never far from me. Rog sends his love. I’ve made a couple of changes in life but I pray everything will be ok. Send some wisdom down from heaven will you?  Say hi to Dad and kiss him for me.

Dear mom, today Is groundhog’s day.  It’s raining here. I miss you and know that you are safe and sound.  I hope the air is fresh, the sun warm as toast, and the rolling hills ready for a good walk.  I love you and dad very much and you both are never far in my mind.   Meg

Hi Mom. Well it’s been six years today. I’ve been through a lot. There’s a new man in my life. His name is Eric, and I’m in love for the very first time. I’m happy Mom. I sail a sailboat and I’ve lost 140 lbs. I miss you so much. I think of you and I’m working out the past now.  It’s all going to be ok Mom. I’m in heaven on earth.  Be well now, for I love you very much. Say hi to Dad!

Hi mom!  Still doing ok. Kind of scary sometimes here but that’s life. It’s a journey. Eric and I are together and we send our love to you on your day. Love to dad and you everyday.
