Carla/Joe III:
Joe was one of my favorite friends for the past almost thirty years, since I joined Business Team in May of 1992. He sat in an open "cubicle" next to me, and could overhear my fumbling mistakes on the phone and was generous enough to gently give advice, and as such mentored me into the business. That relationship lasted (see stories)
I didn't know your dad, but people who worked with him are asking me if I did because he was a good person to know. I can't think of a better tribute to a man's life.
I've been lucky enough to have known Joe since 1991, via our common profession of Business Brokerage. We both started serving on the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB) board of directors shortly afterward we met. Joe was one of the funniest guys I know, and we were always exchanging barbs and/or jokes, eventually via emails, for many, many years. I was President of the CABB in1996 & 1997 and Joe followed me immediately after my term was up, so we had many phone calls about managing the organization. He was with a small group of very respected business brokers, California Business Opportunities (CBO) in Campbell, CA, and only the 45-mile distance from them kept me from joining them. Of course, with him nearby I probably wouldn't have gotten as much work done. I will truly miss Joe, RIP my friend!
