Mr. Meredith

Thank you for instilling a love and respect of the English language, and, more importantly, sharing your personal example of dignity, caring, and kindness.

Your memory is a beacon.

I thank this amazing human being. I was a high school English teacher for 28 years, thought of him constantly, and taught his lessons every day. He helped me serve my students well, but he was inimitable. My condolences to the entire family. Wendy, I stopped you in The Wooden Horse some years ago and sent him this message through you.

Tiger, I don't have a single childhood memory without you in it. Thank you for showing me the importance of kindness and respect, and for teaching me to never take family for granted. You are a true example of what it is to be an honest, hardworking, and kind human. You will continue to inspire me everyday. "I'm wild about you" - Sammi

Mr. Meredith, Your class was one of my favorites of all time.  Everyone around you respected and liked you.  My Dad raved about you and admired you.  Those sentiments were confirmed when I had the opportunity to get to know you my freshman year, and once I saw your unconditional love for your family my regard for you couldn't have been higher.  You will be missed by so many people.  Laura

Helping my son through a rough draft of his first essay this morning, I found myself telling him about you. Of all of my teachers throughout my many years as a student, you are the ONE who made me a better writer. I had great teachers, but you were the best. Thank you.
