Joe Marvin was a phenomenal coach and a fantastic human being that brought a high level of enthusiasm to everything he did. I had the pleasure of playing for Joe in '78/'79 at Cabrillo College and he played a major role in my development as a football player. Joe led us to a NorCal Championship in '79 and that team is still close today. Thank you for everything Joe!
Glad to see the '79 team chiming in. I was the student manager for the team in the '82 and '83 seasons. Joe turned to his coaching mates and laughed when I walked into his office for the first time and handed him letters of recommendation from my high school coaches saying I would be a good student manager. I think he said "This is a first!" Nothing but great memories working for him.
