Thr shock and disbelief of the news of Colonel Jo’s passing last week was then replaced with memories and then remembering the picture that will forever be etched in my memory of the Colonels leaving after church together last Sunday, and as usual, they were hand in hand. I loved it and always thought how cute they were. You will be missed, Colonel. Sweet memories.
Well remember our times with JB. Especially his visit to us in Rome, GA. A choice individual!!!
I will always miss J.B. He will remain in my heart forever.
It was a shock when I first was told that JB had been Promoted to Glory. I had just seen a picture of him on Facebook. JB was a friend to all, a true man of God, a example in how to live and be an officer. He truly was a leader. I respected and valued his words. JB will be missed.
It is difficult to know JB is no longer with us for all to enjoy his fabulous smile and positive attitude. BUT, it is wonderful to KNOW he is in heaven! Can you imagine the smile on his face now? I can. My thoughts are with the entire family. Love you all!
My Uncle JB probably could have made a living as a musician, singer, comedian, or many other things he was good at. But he chose to give his life to God, and if you ever met him you knew right away there was something very special about this man. He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all. I did not have much contact with him these past years but he made a big impact on me in my childhood and his soft demeanor and semse of humor will be with me always.
My husband and I have been so blessed to have JB and Mary as prayer partners. The sudden loss of such a wonderful man reinforces to us the importance of showing gratitude to those we value on our journeys. He will be greatly missed by our church family and we look forward to reuniting in Heaven!
I had the honor of Uncle JB marrying Jim and I. That meant more to me than I could possibly ever tell him. I will never forget that or the premarital sessions that we had. Uncle JB was a kind, wonderful and loving man with the great ability to make people laugh and smile. His love for the Lord gives me peace and comfort knowing that he is in Heaven and one day I will see him again.
