This memorial website was created in the memory of Josef Urich, 48, loving son of Elizabeth Mansfield Nardone of MA and Joseph M. Urich of NV and step-son of David Nardone of MA.
Joe was a proud graduate of California College of the Arts and a beloved Instructor there. He was both a designer and an inventor. Joe made his home in Oakland, CA and his work took him around the world.
He is remembered for his humbleness, creativity, generosity, kindness and sense of humor. His favorite activities were: being with friends, family and his cats; designing and teaching; helping others; being on the water and eating a great meal.
We will remember him forever.
Joe's parents would like to invite his friends and family to post their Tributes here on behalf of Joe in celebration of his life and the wonderful man he was.
Joe will surely be missed by many.
I'm quite sad about this, he died the day after my birthday while we were camping. Joe was just all good, totally hilarious, and I just wanted the best for him whatever he ended up doing. We were in design school together. I have prayed for his happiness even though I really didn't see him after I graduated. Always in my heart, miss you!
The best thing for me, after my wonderful mother passed, was to know she would never hurt, be sad, cry...only love and prepare the place with our loving Father for his loved ones one day.
God bless Joe's families and friends.
Debra, friend to David and Elizabeth
I traveled with Joe for work and got to share some nice meals with him, everything I have read about his memory aligns with the person I got to know. Professionally Joe was very talented and savvy, a great addition to any team. Rest in peace Joe, we will miss you.
